Professional Development, Root Cause Analysis for Manufacturing

This workshop is a one-day program focused on solving product and process problems in engineering development and manufacturing organizations. This program integrates the activities of quality and process engineers, production supervisors, production lead personnel, buyers, contract administrators, and others to identify and eliminate the root causes of failure in products, manufacturing processes, and administrative processes.

| Course Objectives |
- Learn the basic analytical skills, tools and methodologies to determine the causes of non-conformities.
- Evaluate the economics of corrective actions versus Band-Aid fixes.
- Identify actions to prevent the occurrence and recurrence of non-conformities.
- Quantify the high costs of the hidden factory; for example, expediting orders, excess WIP, unscheduled equipment downtime, poor product quality, etc.
- Determine how to address problems proactively and become confident in the outcomes of decisions made.
