Effective product data management is critical to adapting traditional manufacturing systems to agile and lean manufacturing methods. This course teaches which bills of material and routing schemes are appropriate for given situations, and how they can be used to streamline operations, improve quality, reduce waste, minimize inventory, and increase utilization of manufacturing assets. This course focuses on applications. Case studies, bills of material and routings will be referenced to enhance the learning experience.
