How EnteGreat Helps Our Food and CPG Manufacturing Clients Achieve Their Goals
The first challenge for an information systems organization within a manufacturing company is to get aligned and stay aligned with the company's business and operating goals. Sometimes this is not as easy or obvious as it sounds. EnteGreat has been helping our clients develop and articulate IT strategies that are aligned, and stay aligned, by bringing the management and user communities into the process at a deeper level.

Manufacturing companies usually seek to standardize processes and systems to the extent it is practical in order to manage costs and ensure they are consistently delivering the right enablers and reinforcing the best operating practices in a consistent way. Total cost of ownership for information systems that support manufacturing and the supply chain, as well as the ability to enforce or encourage the use of consistent processes and best practices are both challenges for IT organizations. Through the use of standards-based tools and widely accepted processes like value stream mapping, we have been able to help many IT organizations put in place strategies to meet these challenges.

IT organizations need to manage their application portfolios and architectures in ways that lead to lower operating costs and risks, without compromising service levels. To do this the IT organization must also navigate the highly fragmented landscape of manufacturing and supply chain application software to find the right vendors and the right balance for their operational goals and the best IT architecture that aligns with those goals. By helping our clients adopt standards-based approaches to these problems, EnteGreat is helping many of our largest customers do it effectively, for less cost, and in a way that provides a clear approach to change management.
