Paper Overview
Manufacturers are under pressure like never before. Continually improving operational performance is mandatory - without it, you won't last. Many of the traditional methods used to manage production are no longer adequate. Manufacturers are discovering that they cannot continue to rely on reactive management strategies that respond to each crisis hours or days after the fact.

Progressive manufacturers are monitoring production more aggressively and taking actions to prevent problems before a crisis emerges. That's the sole focus of Short Interval Control. Short Interval Control is a proactive strategy that turns Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into Key Performance Actions (KPAs).

Short Interval Control enables production teams to drive operational performance in an informed, proactive manner. By capturing the right information when it is fresh and putting that right information into the right hands at the right time so that the right actions can be taken on the shop floor, problems are eliminated at their source before they can escalate. Short Interval Control is a proven strategy for unlocking substantial performance improvement, reducing or eliminating waste, and empowering production teams.
