Presentation Overview:
No manufacturing company can expect continued success today without a firm grip on product quality. Every batch or lot lost due to quality problems means money wasted. And not only is money wasted on materials and labor, lost production time also means lost flexibility. Even the efforts to promote brand equity are undercut when inferior or inconsistent products reach the consumer. When brand equity is protected by preventing the shipment of defective products, the cost of quality failures still remains. Any manufacturer wrestling with the problem of products that fail to meet specifications is functioning below their potential.
End-to-End Quality Management provides the tools that enable companies to manage quality comprehensively from the moment raw materials come in from suppliers to the moment finished products go out to customers. With End-to-End Quality Management, everyone at all levels across the enterprise has access to the same specifications; in-process, real-time quality measurements are coordinated through a variety of solutions that handle weight, process control (SPC), quality control (SQC), laboratory information management (LIMS), and government compliance (HACCP), among many others. The result is a manufacturing environment where integrated business and production processes holistically handle all of the issues surrounding quality.
As Karsten Newbury and John Clemons explain, End-to-End Quality Management is critical to the profitability of today’s manufacturers and brings value to the company in many ways. With the expertise of Siemens SIMATIC® IT MES and EnteGreat’s project methodologies specifically focused on addressing manufacturing-centric issues, Quality Management initiatives can now be achieved with far greater confidence. Through Quality Management solutions from EnteGreat and Siemens, manufacturers are better able to reduce cost and risk, achieve faster implementation times, leverage industry best practices, and benefit from knowledge transfer by using industry-proven methods.
